Cairn has been granted full planning permission by An Bord Pleanála for 603 high-quality apartments at Seven Mills in Dublin 22. In addition to the apartments, this third phase will see the construction of a core urban area and includes retail spaces, a creche, an office building, and an urban square.
This brings the total number of homes that Cairn has been granted permission for in Seven Mills to 1,000 in the last 12 months. Cairn will deliver 5,500 new homes for over 15,000 new residents at Seven Mills over the coming years.
Construction of the first phase at Seven Mills began in January 2023 with 569 new family homes nearing completion. Seven Mills’ first residents are set to move in before the end of the year.
Welcoming the announcement, Gerald Hoare, Director of Business Development at Cairn said: “The announcement by An Bord Pleanála to grant permission for our next phase at Seven Mills is a really important milestone for us at Cairn, as we strive to deliver high-quality, competitively priced homes in this soon to be new town in Dublin. The inclusion of retail units, an office and a second crèche builds on the success of the first construction phase which also included a creche, two local parks and children’s play areas. These vital facilities will serve our first residents moving in at the end of year and are in line with our aim to create a vibrant new neighbourhood on our city’s doorstep that delivers new homes in an inclusive and sustainable community.”
